In the framework of enhancing cooperation between national institutions to achieve sustainable development goals, Prof. Tamer Samir, President of Benha National University, witnessed the signing of a cooperation protocol with the "Engineers for Sustainable Egypt" organization. The ceremony was attended by Prof. Prof. Hussein El-Maghraby, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Prof. Prof. Karim El-Dash, Vice President for International Relations, Prof. Prof. Mahmoud Shakl, Vice President for Employment, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship, as well as Colleges Deans and the university's Secretary-General. From the "Engineers for Sustainable Egypt" organization, Engineer Mohamed Kamel, President of the organization, and Prof. Hazem Awad, Executive Director, were present.
The protocol was signed by Prof. Prof. Mahmoud Shakl, Vice President for Employment, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship, and Prof. Hazem Awad, Executive Director of the organization.
Prof. Tamer Samir emphasized that the protocol aims to deepen cooperative relationships in the fields of education and learning, training and employment programs, innovation, and raising awareness and building capacities related to the concept and goals of sustainable development among students and all university affiliates.
Prof. Mahmoud Shakl also indicated that the protocol includes organizing events and training courses, as well as participating in conferences, seminars, research discussions, and workshops for university affiliates.
The protocol will also support students' research and development projects in the industrial sector, in addition to providing job opportunities for outstanding graduates trained by the organization. The cooperation will also include the exchange of scientific visits to share experiences and engage in scientific discussions, aligning with Egypt's Vision 2030 and sustainable development goals.
This step is part of Benha National University’s efforts to enhance effective partnerships with national institutions, aiming to develop education, prepare students for the labor market, and promote innovation and entrepreneurship.
