In line with Benha National University’s commitment to promoting innovative thinking and community entrepreneurship and providing training opportunities for its students, students from Benha National University participated in the activities of Enactus Egypt at the British University.
Prof. Tamer Samir, President of Benha National University, emphasized the importance of encouraging students to engage in activities and events like these training programs to enhance their leadership and communication skills and to work in teams in accordance with labor market requirements. He noted that the university aims to provide training opportunities for its students, which would help decrease the gap between university education and labor market needs. He affirmed that participation in such activities, events, and competitions plays a vital role in enhancing and refining the innovative skills of university youth, motivating them to offer solutions and initiatives to community problems that contribute to sustainable development in Egypt and enhance their training in teamwork.
Prof. Mahmoud Shakl, Vice President of the University for Employment, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship, added that the university provides all necessary support for students to turn their ideas into successful projects. He pointed out that Enactus collaborates with the United Nations in the area of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals and works with 550 global companies and institutions as partners. Enactus is an international non-profit organization that collaborates with 1,700 universities across 36 countries.
Students expressed their immense happiness with Benha national University’s interest and commitment to participating and being present at such events. Enactus, supported by the Fund for Innovators and Talents, works to empower students through interactive workshops and provides them with the necessary tools to launch innovative projects and expand their community impact.
The training involved several students from Benha National University representing student teams from over 60 Egyptian universities, where three training workshops were conducted covering vital topics in entrepreneurship, including business model preparation, innovative idea generation strategies, and evaluation criteria for project assessment.
