Prof. Tamer Samir, President of Benha National University, announced that Prof. Karim El-Dash, Vice President for International Relations, received a delegation from Nanjing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in the capital, Beijing, and signed a memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the exchange of students and faculty members between Benha National University and Nanjing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
This took place on the sidelines of the International Forum for the Development of Higher Education Quality held in China, with Prof. Karim El-Dash representing Benha National University.
The meeting covered the agreement between the two universities on the mechanism for student and Colleges Teaching Staff exchange, and discussions were held on expanding the relationship between the two universities and implementing new ideas that would have a positive impact on both institutions.
Prof. Tamer Samir confirmed that the signing of the memorandum is part of a series of international agreements with prestigious Chinese universities, aiming to reflect their activities on the university's Colleges, which in turn work to enhance the skills of students and Colleges Teaching Staff through ongoing international collaboration.
Nanjing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine is one of the oldest universities of traditional Chinese medicine established in China. It is a public university founded in 1956 and is ranked among the top 500 universities worldwide according to the Shanghai Ranking. The university specializes in traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture, in addition to Western medicine.
The university is distinguished by having the first center for acupuncture treatment in partnership with the World Health Organization, which is one of the most famous accredited international centers in China for training in acupuncture therapy.
