Benha National University Launched a Comprehensive Awareness Convoy for a School in El-Obour City

Benha National University launched a Convoy to raise awareness about various community issues, encompassing medical, cultural, and artistic aspects. This initiative is part of the "Awareness" campaign launched by the university in collaboration with the "Decent Life" Foundation, with participation from the National Council for Women, the Directorate of Education, and the Anti-Addiction and Treatment Fund in Kalyobiya Governorate. The initiative aims to promote community development and awareness of vital issues affecting the quality of life and the future of society.

The Convoy took place at Egypt Gold Applied Technology School in El-Obour City, which is the first school for teaching jewelry and accessories manufacturing in the Middle East.

The Convoy included a workshop on jewelry and accessories manufacturing conducted interactively, allowing students to learn the basics of design and production, thereby enhancing their creative skills and encouraging innovation. Additionally, the Convoy featured various activities, including workshops and awareness lectures for the school’s students and staff on topics such as: methods of virus prevention and adherence to health guidelines, oral health protection and the importance of daily dental care, nutritional balance and healthy eating for body health, and the importance of physical activity, alongside a lecture on the dangers of addiction and the devastating effects of drugs on individuals and society.

Prof. Tamer Samir, President of Benha National University, emphasized that this awareness Convoy, which included medical, cultural, and artistic aspects, represents a practical model of the university's role in serving the local community. He explained that the university aims through these Convoys to contribute to achieving positive change in individuals' awareness and behavior, adding that awareness Convoys are one of the university's tools in fulfilling its role as a beacon of knowledge and community service.

Prof. Mahmoud Shakl, Vice President for Employment, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship, pointed out that the Convoy focused on providing comprehensive services that combine medical, cultural, and artistic aspects, contributing to achieving the strategic goals of the "Awareness" initiative, which aims to build a more aware and cohesive community. He clarified that the initiative seeks to achieve integration among various sectors and community institutions to create a positive and sustainable impact.

The Convoy included participation from Prof. Mahmoud Shakl, Vice President for Employment, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship; Prof. Samia Al-Azab, Dean of Dentistry College; Prof. Mohamed Siraj Al-Din, Dean of Physical Therapy College; Prof. Hind Galal, Vice President for Social Empowerment at the Decent Life Foundation; Colonel Ahmed Eid, Director of the Decent Life Office in Kalyobiya; Mr. Mohamed Abdel Qader, Director of Egypt Gold Applied Technology School; and Prof. Essam Abdel Moneim, Executive Director of Egypt Gold, along with a selection of College members from Benha National University.
