The committee overseeing the student union elections at Benha National University has announced the names of the university's student union presidents and their deputies for the academic year 2024/2025. The elections were held under the auspices of Prof. Tamer Samir, President of Benha National University, with supervision from Prof. Hussein El-Maghraby, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Prof. Khaled Eissawy, Advisor to the President for Student Activities, and Prof. Emad Abdel-Rasoul, Supervisor of Sports Activities at the university. This initiative aims to enhance the leadership role of students and encourage their active participation in university life.
The elections resulted in the victory of Mohamed Hassan Qoshti from the Faculty of Medicine as the President of the Student Union, and Mark Nagy from the Faculty of Economics as the Vice President.
Prof. Tamer Samir congratulated the elected student union, praising the positive spirit shown by the students and the excellent organization that reflects the university's commitment to the success of this democratic event. He emphasized the university's dedication to promoting democratic values, noting that the student union elections aim to empower students to develop their leadership skills and enhance their role in serving the university community and beyond, contributing to the preparation of a new generation of young leaders.
Prof. Hussein El-Maghraby, Vice President for Academic Affairs, highlighted the role of the student union as a bridge of communication between the administration and the students, adding that the university is keen to provide full support to the elected council to achieve the students' aspirations and contribute to enriching academic and student activities.
