Benha National University organized a workshop titled “Academic Guidance and Its Role in Supporting Students,” under the auspices of Prof. Tamer Samir, the University President, and supervised by Prof. Hussein El-Maghraby, Vice President for Academic Affairs. The workshop saw participation from Deans and Colleges members, reflecting the university's commitment to enhancing the educational process and achieving academic excellence for students.
Hussein El-Maghraby emphasized that the workshop is part of a series of events aimed at promoting academic excellence and supporting students in achieving their educational and professional goals. He noted that academic guidance is a fundamental pillar in developing students' skills and enabling them to make informed decisions about their futures.
The workshop included a comprehensive explanation of the course registration system, how to select appropriate courses for students' academic plans, as well as an introduction to the university's regulations, graduation requirements, and academic and psychological support. It also highlighted the importance of providing a supportive learning environment for students, along with professional planning for the future by helping students connect their academic plans with their career goals and how to develop their skills to achieve this.
Shady El-Mashad, Dean of Computer Science College and Supervisor of the Digital Transformation and Smart Governance Office, added that academic guidance aims to enhance the student learning experience and ensure their academic and professional success. It supports students in their educational journey by providing advice and guidance in various fields.
The workshop, which featured Engineer Islam Khalil from the Information Technology Department as a speaker, included interactive discussions on several challenges faced by students and how to find solutions to them.
