Introductory and Welcoming Meeting for International Students at Benha National University

Under the auspices of Prof. Tamer Samir, President of the University, a periodic introductory and welcoming meeting for international students was organized, attended by:

  • Karim El-Dash, Vice President for International Relations
  • Ashraf El-Mashad, Dean of the College of Medicine
  • Nasreen, Assistant Professor at the College of Medicine
  • Rasha El-Bahi, Director of Student Affairs

Objectives of the Meeting

The meeting, which marks the second of its kind, aimed to:

  • Welcome international students to their "second home," Egypt.
  • Gather their opinions and suggestions regarding their academic and personal lives at the university.

Discussions

During the meeting, challenges and obstacles faced by international students were discussed, both academically and personally. Prof. Karim El-Dash emphasized the importance of regular meetings with international students to enhance communication, listen to their opinions closely, and work on finding solutions to any challenges they face in coordination with various university departments.

Students' Suggestions

International students presented a range of suggestions aimed at improving their academic and living experiences, such as:

  • Providing comprehensive support.
  • Simplifying administrative procedures.
  • Easing travel arrangements and return to their home countries during official holidays.

The students expressed their appreciation for these meetings, which reflect the university's commitment to addressing their needs and ensuring a supportive educational environment.

In this context, Prof. Karim El-Dash confirmed that the university will continue to hold such meetings regularly to monitor the affairs of international students. He also indicated that the university will work on facilitating their travel arrangements and returns to their home countries during holidays, including expediting the process of obtaining official documents and providing necessary logistical support.
