Prof. Jamal El Saeed, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Benha National University, chaired a discussion session to discuss the vision, mission, and governing values of the university. The session was attended by Prof. Suhair Shaarawi, Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees, Prof. Tamer Samir, President of the University, Prof. Hussein Al-Maghrabi, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Deans of Colleges, the Secretary General, and the Assistant Secretary of the university.
Prof. Jamal El Saeed emphasized that the establishment of Benha National University is part of the state's direction towards creating smart universities that operate according to the latest systems and provide a model to be followed in higher education by offering academic programs and providing an educational environment that stimulates creativity and innovation.
Prof. El Saeed pointed out that Benha National University has become one of the attractive universities for study, hosting many academic and administrative competencies. He urged the university leadership to take advantage of all available resources and capabilities, striving towards academic excellence and opening partnerships and cooperation protocols with various prestigious international universities.
Prof. Tamer Samir, President of the University, confirmed the university's commitment to continuous development, coordinating all efforts, and utilizing material and human resources to enable the university to achieve its goals and compete at the local and regional levels.
Prof. Hussein Al-Maghrabi, General Supervisor of the university's strategic plan preparation, reviewed the general framework of the strategic plan and the importance of preparing it based on a precise analysis of the university's reality, its capabilities, and the internal and external working environment to determine its vision, mission, and strategic objectives for the next five years, in line with the strategic plan for higher education in Egypt and Egypt's Vision 2030.
During the session, several proposals were presented by the working team for the initial formulation of the university's vision, mission, and values, which were discussed in light of the university's capabilities and future aspirations.
The Chairman of the Board of Trustees thanked the university leadership for their efforts during the past period and their pursuit of completing the academic and administrative staff at the university.
