Benha National University Council Discussed the Academic Calendar for the Second Semester and Approved the Establishment of a Sustainability Unit

Benha National University Council held its meeting chaired by Prof. Tamer Samir, President of the University, with the presence of:

  • Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University,
  • Hussein El-Maghraby, Vice President for Academic Affairs
  • Mahmoud Shakl, Vice President for Employment, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship,
  • Deans of Colleges,
  • council members,
  • the university's secretary general, and
  • The assistant secretary.

  • Opening Remarks:

Prof. Tamer Samir began the session by congratulating Prof. Gamal El-Said, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, and Prof. Soheir Shaarawy, Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees, on their membership in the committees for higher education sectors for the new term 2025-2028 in the fields of engineering studies and commercial studies.

  • Collaboration Emphasis:

The President praised the efforts made in all sectors during the past period, emphasizing the importance of communication, integration, and exchange of experiences between Benha University and Benha National University to serve the students of both institutions.

  • Establishment of a Sustainability Unit:

The council approved the creation of Sustainability and International Rankings Unit aimed at enhancing the university's international reputation and including it in international ranking indicators.

  • Academic Calendar Review:

Prof. Hussein El-Maghraby presented the academic calendar for the second semester of the 2024/2025 academic year and discussed the preparation of class schedules for students. He also reviewed reports on academic programs for the first semester.

  • Book Purchase Committee:

The council agreed to form a Book Purchase Committee for the upcoming Cairo International Book Fair and established a Post Graduate Studies and Scientific Research Committee at Benha National University.

  • Proposed Cooperation Agreements:

Prof. Mahmoud Shakl reviewed several proposed cooperation agreements between Benha National University and various institutions aimed at providing training and employment opportunities.
