Launch of the Children's University Program at Benha National University

Benha National University has launched the activities of the Children's University Program in its eighth phase from January 26 to 29, under the auspices of Prof. Tamer Samir, the university president, and in collaboration with the Academy of Scientific Research led by Prof. Gina El-Feky.

This event was attended by Prof. Mahmoud Shakel, Vice President for Employment, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship, and Prof. Mohamed Siraj, Dean of the Physical Therapy College and Dean of the Children's University at Benha National University, as part of the initiative to support early education and develop children's scientific and creative skills.

Prof. Tamer Samir emphasized the university's commitment to organizing scientific initiatives and events, noting that the "Children's University" activities provide a unique opportunity to prepare the younger generations to face future challenges by developing scientific and creative thinking in children and enhancing their leadership and personal skills.

Prof. Tamer Samir explained that the university aims to strengthen cooperation with the Academy of Scientific Research and the external community to open new horizons in learning, contributing to the development of children's critical and creative thinking abilities and enhancing the role of universities in serving the community and developing its resources, particularly through investment in human capital.

Prof. Mahmoud Shakel pointed out the importance of the program, which aims to enhance scientific thinking and problem-solving skills, instilling confidence and leadership in children, thereby boosting their self-esteem and developing their personalities. He affirmed the significance of the "Children's University" in preparing a generation capable of dealing with future challenges.

Prof. Mahmoud Shakel noted that the university offers training programs in innovation and entrepreneurship, helping children think strategically and creatively.

Prof. Mohamed Siraj highlighted the importance of providing educational opportunities for children in various fields, addressing topics such as energy and the environment, the impact of technology on education, and the significance of information and communication technology in our daily lives.

Additionally, participating children attended an introductory seminar about Benha National University and its capabilities, along with activities of the Children's University Program that encompass various fields such as information and communication technology, mathematics, and physics to enhance analytical thinking skills, as well as entrepreneurship to foster creativity and innovative thinking. The Children's University team also took the children on a tour to familiarize them with the university's facilities and resources.

Parents and children emphasized the importance of continuing such initiatives that contribute to developing children's skills and empowering them to think outside the box. These initiatives reflect the university's commitment to building generations capable of creativity and innovation in various scientific and technological fields.
