Benha National University Organized Awareness Seminar on Clean Energy in Collaboration with Obour Educational Administration

Under the auspices of Prof. Tamer Samir, University President, and the supervision of Prof. Mahmoud Shakl, Vice President for Employment, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship, Benha National University organized an awareness seminar titled "Clean Energy" at Muaz bin Jabal School – Psychological Support Center under the Obour Educational Administration. This initiative aligns with the university’s ongoing support for environmental and sustainable development issues and its societal role in promoting innovation and environmental leadership.

The student-led event was part of the Enactus program, which focuses on empowering youth through community engagement and sustainable entrepreneurship. It was coordinated jointly with the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector and the Obour Educational Administration.

Participants included students from the Colleges of Engineering and Computer Science, who delivered specialized lectures on the risks of traditional batteries, methods for manufacturing eco-friendly alternatives, and innovative technological solutions to reduce electronic waste and enhance recycling efficiency.

The seminar extended beyond theoretical discussions, offering a practical field experience to equip students as "agents of change" in their communities. It emphasized integrating academic knowledge, active societal participation, and entrepreneurial thinking to address modern challenges.

This initiative reflects the university’s commitment to advancing green economy principles and sustainable digital transformation, in line with its vision to nurture environmentally conscious graduates equipped to contribute to Egypt’s 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.
