Benha National University Delegation Extended Christmas Greetings to His Eminence Bishop Ermia at St. Mark's Cathedral

Prof. Tamer Samir, President of Benha National University, extended Christmas greetings to His Eminence Bishop Ermia, General Bishop and Head of the Coptic Orthodox Cultural Center, and Assistant Secretary-General of the Egyptian Family House, during the university delegation’s visit to St. Mark’s Cathedral in Abbasia. The visit aimed to reinforce values of love and unity among Egyptians.

The delegation accompanying the university president included:

  • Mahmoud Shakal, Vice President for Employment, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship
  • Shady Y. El-Mashed, Presidential Advisor for Digital Transformation and Smart Governance, and Dean of Computer Science College
  • Ashraf El-Mashed, Dean of Human Medicine College
  • Asmaa El-Bandarawy, Dean of Physical Therapy College
  • Heba El-Sabaa, Dean of Dentistry College
  • Ingy Youssef, Director of Public Relations, Media, and Marketing

Prof. Tamer Samir emphasized that Christmas celebrations reflect national unity and cohesion among Egyptians. He highlighted the university’s commitment to promoting citizenship, tolerance, and community development through collaboration with state institutions and participation in Christian religious festivities, underscoring Egypt’s national unity.

His Eminence Bishop Ermia welcomed the delegation, expressing appreciation for the visit and noting that such meetings exemplify Egypt’s deep-rooted unity and shared values. He praised universities for their role in shaping youth awareness and advancing ethical and humanitarian principles.

Bishop Ermia guided the delegation on a tour of the Coptic Orthodox Cultural Center, showcasing its activities, museum, and library. The delegation explored Coptic heritage and history, visited the center’s media channel, and learned about its advanced media facilities and role in promoting spiritual and societal values.
