Benha National University Concludes Student Activities Following a Year of Achievement and Talent Development

Benha National University concluded its student activities for the 2025–2026 academic year with a major celebration highlighting a year of outstanding accomplishments across sports, culture, academics, and the arts.

The ceremony was held in the presence of Prof. Tamer Samir, President of Benha National University, and Prof. Hussein El Maghraby, Vice President for Academic Affairs, under the supervision of Prof. Khaled Eissawy, Advisor to the President for Student Activities. The event was attended by Prof. Mahmoud Abdel Sabour, Prof. Ayman Samir, Prof. Heba El Sabae, Prof. Asmaa El Bandrawy, and Prof. Mohamed Mostafa, along with faculty members, students, and distinguished guests from across the University community.

Prof. Tamer Samir affirmed that student activities are an integral part of the University’s educational mission and play a central role in preparing graduates who combine academic excellence with leadership, creativity, and a strong sense of responsibility. He emphasized that these activities provide meaningful opportunities for students to discover their talents, strengthen their skills, and build the confidence needed to compete successfully at both the national and international levels.

Prof. Hussein El Maghraby noted that the celebration reflected a year of remarkable student engagement and distinguished participation in competitions and championships, while Prof. Khaled Eissawy underscored the role of student activities in fostering well-rounded personalities, strengthening students’ sense of belonging, and enhancing their diverse capabilities.

Mohamed Kawashty, President of Benha National University’s Student Union, praised the University’s continued support for student activities, noting that this commitment was clearly reflected in the breadth of student participation and the achievements realized throughout the year.

During the academic year, the University organized 105 activities and events spanning sports, culture, the arts, community service, and academic initiatives, in addition to seminars, training programs, and national and international events.

Benha National University also secured 38 top placements, including 35 awards in sports at university, national, African, and international levels. Students achieved notable success in strength sports, kickboxing, karate, finswimming, athletics, and judo.

Academic, cultural, and social initiatives included national awareness seminars, international partnership programs, field visits, participation in major exhibitions such as the Egypt Defence Expo (EDEX), and competitions in theatre, poetry, visual arts, and Qur’an memorization.

The program further included a series of musical and spiritual performances by students from the Faculties of Medicine and Economics and Business Administration, celebrating national identity and cultural expression.

The ceremony concluded with the recognition of students who achieved outstanding results in competitions and activities throughout the year, honoring accomplishments that have further enhanced Benha National University’s standing at the national and international levels.
