Benha National University and Qalyubia Drinking Water and Wastewater Company Signs Cooperation Agreement to Strengthen Professional Training and Applied Research

Benha National University has signed a cooperation agreement with the Qalyubia Drinking Water and Wastewater Company to expand collaboration in professional training, education, applied research, innovation, and graduate employability, supporting the preparation of graduates equipped with the knowledge, practical skills, and professional competencies required in today's labor market.

The agreement was signed by Prof. Tamer Samir, President of Benha National University, and Eng. Mohamed Ibrahim Fouda, Chairman of the Qalyubia Drinking Water and Wastewater Company, on the sidelines of a meeting of the University's Council.

The signing ceremony was attended by Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University; Prof. Hussein El-Maghraby, Vice President for Academic Affairs; Prof. Mahmoud Shakal, Vice President for Employment, Innovation and Entrepreneurship; and members of the University Council.

The partnership forms part of Benha National University's strategic approach to expanding collaboration with national institutions while strengthening the connection between academic education and labor market needs. It also supports the University's broader mission of advancing sustainable development and preparing graduates to meet the evolving demands of the professional landscape.

the two institutions will collaborate to provide practical and field-based training opportunities for students and graduates, deliver professional development programs, and jointly organize conferences, seminars, workshops, and scientific events. The partnership also extends to student projects and applied research initiatives in areas of shared interest.

The agreement further provides a framework for joint research projects, support for student-led research and development initiatives, scientific exchange visits, and the sharing of academic and technical expertise and resources. These collaborative activities will contribute to enhancing educational quality while promoting innovation and entrepreneurship.

Prof. Tamer Samir emphasized that practical training and professional preparation remain among Benha National University's highest priorities. He noted that meaningful workplace experience is an essential complement to academic study and that collaboration with leading national institutions provides students with valuable exposure to professional practice, strengthens their career readiness, and enhances their competitiveness in the labor market while supporting Egypt's sustainable development priorities.

Eng. Mohamed Ibrahim Fouda welcomed the agreement, reaffirming the Company's commitment to supporting professional training and capacity building while drawing on the University's academic and research expertise. He added that the partnership will serve the shared objectives of both institutions, strengthen community engagement, and support national development efforts.
