Benha National University students Maryam Adel and Saged Walid, from the Faculty of Computer Science, secured first place as members of Team MGRC at the Global Robotics Challenge, a national robotics competition held on 28 June in Assiut and hosted by Badr University.
Team MGRC brings together outstanding students from several Egyptian universities and educational institutions, including Benha National University, reflecting a collaborative model that empowers university students to develop innovative engineering solutions in the field of robotics.
The team earned first place with an innovative project featuring a Remotely Operated Underwater Vehicle (ROV). The project was recognized for its engineering excellence, innovative design, and strong potential for real-world applications, securing the top position in the competition.
With this achievement, the team has qualified to represent Egypt in the international finals of the competition, which will be held outside Egypt. The host country is expected to be announced in the coming period.
