Prof. Gamal El Saeed, Chair of Benha National University’s Board of Trustees, announced that Ministerial Decree No. 1800 of 2026 has been issued, authorizing the commencement of studies at the Faculty of Applied Health Sciences Technology from the first semester of the 2026/2027 academic year. The decision reflects the University’s continued efforts to expand its portfolio of contemporary academic programs that respond to scientific and technological advances and address the evolving needs of the labor market.
Prof. Gamal El-Saeed noted that the launch of the Faculty of Applied Health Sciences Technology marks a significant step forward in Benha National University’s development of an integrated educational system. He emphasized that the University is continuing to establish new faculties and introduce academic programs in specialized, high demand fields, providing students with forward looking educational opportunities aligned with the rapidly changing requirements of the labor market.
He further emphasized that the ministerial decree marks the culmination of sustained efforts to complete the University’s academic structure and broaden its range of faculties and disciplines. With the addition of the new faculty, Benha National University now comprises 10 faculties offering a diverse range of academic programs across vital and emerging fields, reflecting its vision of a fourth generation university that responds to development priorities and labor market needs.
Prof. Tamer Samir, President of Benha National University, affirmed that the University had completed all necessary preparations for the launch of the new faculty and ensured the availability of the required human and material resources to deliver a high quality university education that combines academic preparation with practical application.
He noted that the Faculty will initially offer two bachelor’s programs: the Bachelor’s Program in Biotechnology and Molecular Biology and the Bachelor’s Program in Anesthesia and Intensive Care Technology, in accordance with the approved academic regulations.
With the number of its faculties now reaching 10, Benha National University continues to pursue a measured expansion of its academic offerings, introducing distinctive programs in fields aligned with labor market needs. This expansion further advances the University’s position as a modern national university that integrates academic education, practical application, and innovation.
