As part of Benha National University’s commitment to strengthening international academic and cultural exchange and providing students with enriching global learning experiences, a delegation of BNU students participated in the International Summer School at The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) from 1 July to 9 August 2026.
The programme was held under the patronage of Prof. Tamer Samir, President of Benha National University, and featured a diverse programme of academic, professional, cultural, and sporting activities designed to broaden students’ perspectives, enhance their knowledge and skills, and provide opportunities for meaningful interaction with students from different cultural backgrounds.
The participating delegation included students from the Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Computer Science, and Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, who took part in a range of advanced courses and academic activities. The programme also featured the Global Career Insights Seminars, offering students valuable exposure to international career perspectives and insights into the evolving global labour market.
As part of the cultural programme, the students visited a number of prominent cultural and heritage sites in Hong Kong, including the Museum of the War of Resistance and Coastal Defence, Mei Ho House, and M+ Museum. They also participated in practical workshops, including Bamboo Scaffolding and DIY Minibus Sign, providing opportunities to explore aspects of Hong Kong’s cultural heritage, creative practices, and local identity through hands-on experiences.
The programme further provided an important platform for students to engage with their international peers, exchange ideas and experiences, and build new academic and cultural connections. Their participation also offered valuable opportunities to gain a deeper understanding of different educational and cultural perspectives beyond the classroom.
The students’ reflections on their experience highlighted the value of the programme in broadening their horizons, developing their interpersonal and intercultural skills, and strengthening their confidence in engaging within an international environment.
Through its participation in international programmes of this kind, Benha National University continues to support the holistic development of its students by combining academic learning with professional, cultural, and international experiences that contribute to their personal growth and future career readiness.
