Innovation and Technology: Workshop at Benha National University

Under the patronage of Prof. Tamer Samir, President of Benha National University, a distinguished workshop on innovation and technology was organized. This workshop is part of the university's participation in the "Bidaya" initiative, a new beginning for human development, launched by the President of the Republic. The workshop activities commenced under the leadership of  Prof. Mahmoud Shakl, Vice President for Employment, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship.

The workshop, titled:

“BNU Innovation and Technology Workshop”,

was held in collaboration with:

Creative Innovation HUB (ITIDA) and Teleperformance.

It featured several distinguished speakers and aimed to enhance the culture of innovation and entrepreneurship among students, equipping them with the necessary knowledge and skills to keep pace with rapid technological developments.

The workshop included participation from experts and specialists in the fields of innovation and technology, addressing several important topics, including how to develop innovative ideas and turn them into viable projects. It also showcased the latest trends in technology, its impact on the job market, and how to utilize artificial intelligence.

Prof. Tamer Samir emphasized the importance of innovation as a fundamental pillar in community development, stressing the university's role in supporting and encouraging students to think creatively. Meanwhile, Prof. Mahmoud Shakl highlighted the significance of collaboration between the university and industry to provide suitable job opportunities for graduates and to foster an entrepreneurial spirit.

Prof. Shakl also pointed out the importance of seeking new job opportunities through out-of-the-box ideas, urging students to develop and enhance their skills. He explained that the university strives to support entrepreneurial ideas and transform them into implementable projects that contribute to community development and meet market needs. He affirmed that innovation is essential for progress and that the university works to provide an inspiring environment and necessary support to motivate students towards creativity and sustainable development.

Participants actively engaged with the workshop content, reflecting their interest in innovation and technology as a means to achieve sustainable development.

The workshop also included a panel discussion on the role of technology and artificial intelligence in shaping a more advanced future. This session addressed the impact of artificial intelligence across various sectors, from education and health to industry, emphasizing the necessity of empowering youth with modern technological skills to keep pace with rapid transformations. The session reviewed global innovations and how they can contribute to a qualitative leap in society and enhance innovation among future generations.

Additionally, a detailed presentation was given about the Digital Egypt Innovation Center and its role in utilizing modern technology and innovation to solve community problems and meet evolving market needs.
