Prof. Gamal El-Saeed, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Benha National University, Prof. Soheir Shaarawy, Vice Chairman of the Board, and Prof. Tamer Samir, President of Benha National University, witnessed the signing of a student cooperation agreement between the university and Wuhan University of Technology in China.
The protocol was signed by Prof. Karim El-Dash, Vice President for International Relations, in the presence of Prof. Hussein El-Maghraby, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Prof. Mahmoud Shakl, Vice President for Employment, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship, and Deans of colleges.
Prof. Gamal El-Saeed expressed his interest in signing the cooperation agreement, emphasizing that it represents an important step towards enhancing academic and cultural cooperation between the two universities.
Prof. Gamal El-Saeed pointed out that Benha National University is keen on opening avenues for collaboration with prestigious international universities and forming distinguished educational, research, and scientific partnerships. He added that through cooperation with Wuhan University, the aim is to exchange experiences and knowledge, opening new horizons for students and preparing them for the labor market at all levels.
Prof. Tamer Samir affirmed during the meeting with the Chinese delegation the university's commitment to building international partnerships and collaborating with distinguished Chinese universities. He highlighted the university's efforts to provide leading educational services to its students, as well as creating exceptional local and international training opportunities that make its students competitive in the job market both locally and internationally.
Prof. Karim El-Dash, Vice President for International Relations, stated that the memorandum of understanding and the student exchange agreement between the two universities aim to train Benha National University students and organize student visits to factories and global companies in China, in addition to cultural exchanges between Benha University students and those from Wuhan University of Technology.
Wuhan University of Technology comprises 23 colleges and 2 central laboratories across China, offering 74 doctoral programs, 135 master's programs, and 82 undergraduate programs, with a total of 54,000 students.
The university is also ranked among the top 300 universities globally according to the Shanghai Ranking. According to the QS subject rankings, Wuhan University of Technology ranks fourth worldwide in chemical engineering, sixteenth in civil engineering, nineteenth in physics, and twenty-fifth in energy.
