Benha National University Organized a Visit to the Psychological Support and Intellectual Education Center as Part of the "Awareness" Initiative

As part of the "Awareness" initiative, Benha National University organized a visit to the Psychological Support and Intellectual Education Center in Al-Obour City, which included several awareness lectures and creative activities aimed at enhancing the integration of people with special needs into society.

Prof. Tamer Samir, President of Benha National University, emphasized in his speech the university's commitment to fully support initiatives aimed at empowering individuals with special needs and integrating them into society. He stressed that this event is part of a series of activities and initiatives implemented by the university to enhance community awareness and deepen partnerships with civil society organizations, calling for continued joint efforts to support the most vulnerable groups.

Prof. Mahmoud Shakl, Vice President of Benha National University for Employment, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship, highlighted the importance of promoting innovation and entrepreneurship as a means to empower individuals with special needs and achieve their independence. He added that the university seeks to provide innovative solutions and sustainable initiatives aimed at improving employment opportunities for this group, affirming that empowering individuals with special needs is a shared societal responsibility that requires the cooperation of all efforts.

Dr. Saad Asal, Director General of the Educational Administration of Al-Obour City, expressed his happiness in hosting this important event as part of the "Awareness" initiative, pointing to the importance of cooperation between educational institutions and psychological support and intellectual education centers to achieve community development goals. Asal confirmed the vital role such events play in promoting the values of community integration and solidarity to support individuals with special needs, contributing to achieving Egypt's Vision 2030.

Major General Wael Shawky, Advisor for International and External Relations at the "Hayat Karima" Foundation, participated with an introductory lecture on the important role that the "Hayat Karima" Foundation provides for individuals with special needs. Prof. Rania El-Kilani, Professor of Cultural Sociology, delivered a lecture on "Integrating Individuals with Special Needs into Egyptian Society." Additionally, a workshop on "Hand Embroidery Art" was organized on the sidelines of the event.

This event is part of Benha National University's efforts to enhance community awareness and support individuals with special needs, aligning with the Egyptian state's vision to empower this group and integrate them into society effectively and positively.

The "Awareness" initiative launched by Benha National University comes in partnership with the "Hayat Karima" Foundation and in cooperation with the Education Directorate in Al-Obour City, the Anti-Addiction and Treatment Fund, the National Council for Women, and the Supreme Council for Persons with Disabilities.
