President of Benha National University Congratulated Coptic Brothers on Christmas

Prof. Tamer Samir, the president of Benha National University, extended his congratulations to the Coptic community, the priests of the Saint Paul the Apostle Church in Al-Obour City, and the papal deputy for the churches of Al-Obour and New Al-Obour, Father Rafael Anba Bishoy, on the occasion of Christmas.

This came during a visit by the university president, accompanied by:

  • Mahmoud Shakl, vice president for employment, innovation, and entrepreneurship,
  • Shadi El-Mashad, Dean of the Computer Science College, and
  • Enji Youssef, director of the Public Relations and Media Department,

to the Saint Paul the Apostle Church in Al-Obour.

They were welcomed by Father Youssef Sidham Attia, Father Paul Adli, and Father Moussa William, the church's priests.

Prof. Tamer Samir emphasized that participation in such occasions and celebrations helps renew the bonds of love and brotherhood among the people of one nation, enhancing cooperation and harmony within Egyptian society. He wished the Coptic community lasting happiness, goodness, and blessings.

The university president added that these occasions contribute to promoting values of tolerance and peaceful coexistence among all Egyptians, pointing out that the unity of the Egyptian people, in all its diversity, is the secret of our strength in facing challenges. He affirmed that Egypt will always remain a model for coexistence and mutual respect among all its citizens, as the Egyptian community is an inseparable fabric.

Church leaders expressed their happiness at the visit of the university president and his accompanying delegation, praising the significant and vital role that Benha National University plays in supporting national unity values, and confirming that this visit reflects the deep connections among all segments of the Egyptian people.
