Under the auspices of Prof. Tamer Samir, the university president, and in the presence of Prof. Mahmoud Shakl, the vice president for Employment, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship, along with program directors and a group of faculty members and administrators, Benha National University organized a workshop on labor market needs and communication skills in the industrial market and entrepreneurship in collaboration with the Egyptian Workers' Federation. This initiative aims to equip students and interested individuals with the necessary knowledge and skills to understand the requirements of the industrial labor market and enhance their effective communication abilities within industrial work environments, as well as to stimulate the spirit of entrepreneurship both on and off-campus. This is part of the cooperation protocol between the university and the Egyptian Workers' Federation, highlighting the changing requirements of the industrial labor market and the importance of developing personal and professional skills, particularly effective communication skills, which are among the key components of success in the modern workplace.
Prof. Tamer Samir emphasized the university's commitment to providing all means to develop students' professional skills through advanced training programs that prepare them to enter the labor market with high efficiency, as well as the university's commitment to providing outstanding job opportunities for students according to their specializations.
Prof. Mahmoud Shakl pointed out the importance of these events in linking educational outcomes with labor market needs, confirming that the university places great emphasis on equipping students with the skills necessary to keep up with the rapid developments in various sectors, especially the industrial sector, which represents the engine of economic development in Egypt.
During the workshop, the speakers reviewed the main challenges facing youth in entering the labor market, emphasizing the importance of keeping pace with digital transformation, acquiring negotiation, presentation, and teamwork skills, in addition to the ability to think creatively and solve problems.
Dr. Hoda Basyouni, the educational advisor and director of education and scientific research, presented the workshop and showed a short video about the Egyptian Workers' Federation, discussing the importance of technology as a fundamental element in the modern work environment, highlighting its significant impact on improving communication, workplace flexibility, and enhancing innovation.
Dr. Haitham Hussein, the chairman of the Egyptian Workers' Federation, also spoke, expressing special thanks to students seeking development and employment, and he expressed his happiness in assisting students with their graduation projects while delivering motivational speeches to encourage them to develop both their practical and ethical skills, as professionalism and craftsmanship are what create outstanding leaders.
Dr. Ayman Adly, the director of the media sector, discussed the importance of skills in the current labor market and the role of artificial intelligence and the human factor in the age of AI.
This workshop is part of a series of events aimed at empowering youth with the tools of the labor market, opening new horizons in the fields of industry and entrepreneurship, and represents an important step towards achieving the vision of Benha National University in developing education and training in line with labor market needs, contributing to the formation of a new generation of specialists capable of facing future challenges, while providing exceptional training opportunities for university students and facilitating the implementation of their graduation projects, in addition to providing job opportunities in their various projects after graduation.
