A delegation from Benha National University participated in the events of the Discussion forum aimed at building awareness for university and institute students in Egypt, organized by the Leadership Preparation Institute in Helwan, under the auspices of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
The forum included several awareness lectures and interactive workshops, the most notable being a lecture titled “Egyptian National Security and Combating Extremist Ideas” delivered by Major General Hafez Hassan, during which he discussed the challenges facing Egyptian national security and the importance of youth's role in protecting the homeland and countering extremist ideas.
Students also participated in a workshop titled “Proposing Initiatives to Combat Misleading and Extremist Ideas in Universities and Institutes,” which witnessed significant interaction from the students, as they were divided into working groups to present innovative ideas and initiatives to enhance student awareness and establish a culture of moderation and belonging.
Prof. Tamer Samir, President of Benha National University, confirmed that the participation of the university's students in this forum comes within the framework of the university's strategy to support its students' capabilities and build their national awareness, pointing out that youth are the foundation of the nation's renaissance and the first line of defense against intellectual and societal challenges.
Prof. Hussein Al-Maghrabi, Vice President of the University for Academic Affairs, explained that the university is keen to involve its students in national events that develop their personalities and broaden their horizons, contributing to qualifying them to be effective elements in building the nation with enlightened thoughts and genuine awareness.
The forum featured many cultural, artistic, and sports activities that helped strengthen the bonds of communication among students of Egyptian universities, in an atmosphere of positive interaction and constructive Discussion.
