Benha National University Celebrated World Creativity and Innovation Day and Signs Cooperation Protocols with Strategic Institutions

Benha National University organized a celebration on the occasion of World Creativity and Innovation Day, under the auspices of Prof. Tamer Samir, President of the University. This event reflected the university's commitment to enhancing a culture of creativity, developing students' skills, and linking the educational process with labor market requirements.

The event was attended by several university leaders and representatives from partner institutions, including:

  • Mahmoud Shakl, Vice President for Employment, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship;
  • Mohamed Said, Dean of the Engineering College Programs;
  • Shady Y. El Meshad, Dean of Computer Science College.
  • Galal Khamis, Director of Programs and Operations at the Innovators and Talents Care Fund at the Ministry of Higher Education;
  • Tamer Nasr, a specialized trainer in Human Resources Management;
  • Huda Yassi, President of the Arab Investors Union;
  • Marwa El Wakil, Head of Academic Research Sector at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina;
  • Buthaina Mustafa, Vice President of the Board of Trustees of the "Haya Karima" Foundation;
  • Colonel Ahmed Eid, Director of the "Haya Karima" Office in Kalyobiya Governorate;
  • Amr Al-Awamry, Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Engineering at Benha University and representative of the Creative Digital Innovation Center;
  • Marwa Sabry, Researcher and General Coordinator of Activities and Anti-Substance Abuse;
  • Farida Kamal, Director of the Cairo Bank Business Development Center;
  • Captain Walaa Hafiz, a guide at the Suez Canal Authority and holder of a registered achievement in the Guinness World Records.

From the strategic partner institutions, Prof. Ahmed El Sherif, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Leaders Foundation for Administrative Sciences and Development; Eng. Sherif Hamdi El Shehabi, Head of Training Sector and Director of the Arab Contractors Company Institute; Mr. Mohamed Iftikhar Hassan, Head of Talent Management Activity at the United Arab Investment Company; Eng. Mustafa Mostafa Bastawisi, Founder and President of Watad Group for Industry; Prof. Khaled Masoud, President of the Egyptian International Association for Sports Medicine and Sports Sciences; and Prof. Ahmed Taha, Executive Director of the Egyptian Company for Carbon Materials were also present.

In his opening speech, Prof. Tamer Samir emphasized that creativity and innovation are effective tools for empowering students to keep pace with technological and professional developments. He highlighted the importance of activating partnerships with various institutions to support the educational process and provide real training and qualification opportunities that meet labor market aspirations. He also stressed that the National Higher Education Strategy prioritizes linking education with training, creativity, and innovation, ensuring educational outcomes that align with contemporary requirements.

Prof. Mahmoud Shakl pointed out that the university places great importance on enhancing cooperation with leading companies and institutions to prepare outstanding student cadres capable of competing effectively in various fields of the labor market by providing training programs and practical projects in partnership with specialized entities.

The celebration also featured a lecture by Prof. Tamer Nasr, who emphasized the importance of perseverance for success and developing personal and professional skills among youth, stating that "success begins with an idea." Prof. Galal Khamis presented an overview of the most significant achievements of the Innovators and Talents Care Fund and its role in supporting university students. Meanwhile, Captain Walaa Hafiz shared his practical experience as a model of will and determination, referring to his unique achievement in diving, documented in the Guinness World Records.

The event also honored a group of students and graduates from the Employment, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship sector at the university who participated in several distinguished initiatives and partnerships, including the Bibliotheca Alexandrina for Freelancing, Stars, Jot Inc., Creative, Haya Karima, Anti-Drug Campaign, and Cairo Bank.

Benha National University signed several cooperation protocols with leading strategic institutions, including the Arab Contractors Company, the United Arab Investment Company, the Leaders Foundation for Administrative Sciences and Development, the Egyptian Company for Carbon Materials, the Egyptian International Association for Sports Medicine, and Watad Group for Industry.

The signing of these protocols is part of the university's efforts to expand its partnership network with both the public and private sectors, contributing to supporting students' skills and preparing them for the labor market through joint training opportunities and practical projects.
