The College of Engineering at Benha National University organized its first scientific day as part of the university's commitment to supporting academic excellence, encouraging student creativity, and linking theoretical knowledge with practical application to enhance students' skills and prepare them for the job market.

Prof. Tamer Samir emphasized that Benha National University places great importance on developing students' capabilities and providing a stimulating educational environment that unleashes their potential. He reaffirmed the university's commitment to keeping pace with rapid scientific and technological advancements, stating that it will continue its mission with determination and remain a nurturing environment for excellence, encouraging innovation and scientific research, and striving to graduate qualified individuals who will leave their mark on the sustainable development of our beloved nation.
He noted that this scientific day represents a real opportunity to discover promising talents and enhance a culture of research and innovation, pointing out that every student idea has the potential to evolve into a real project that serves the community and achieves sustainable development.
Prof. Hussein El-Maghraby stated that this event serves as an inspiring platform to stimulate minds and exchange experiences, and that the projects presented by students reflect a distinguished level of understanding and the ability to transform ideas into practical models that can be implemented, which enhances the university's confidence in its students and motivates it to pursue further development.
Prof. Mohamed Saeed explained that the College is steadily progressing toward preparing engineering cadres capable of facing challenges, noting that this scientific day is the result of continuous efforts to build a comprehensive educational system that encourages students to research and think, providing them with the necessary tools to turn their ideas into tangible engineering solutions and making practical application a true platform for honing skills and developing capabilities.
The scientific day included a video presentation introducing the College's activities during the academic year, alongside a series of specialized lectures, including one by Prof. Sayed Kassab, Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department at Cairo University, and another by Prof. Tamer Nasr, Professor of Human Resources at the National Training Academy, along with a lecture by Mr. Mohamed Tantawy, Managing Editor of Youm7 newspaper, in addition to a speech delivered by MP Amr Darwish, Member of Parliament.
The program also featured several distinguished artistic and cultural segments, as well as lectures on entrepreneurship and artificial intelligence, including a lecture by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al-Madina Company, which added an interactive character to the day, blending science, culture, and art.
The event also showcased presentations of innovative student projects, culminating in the announcement of the winners of the best three projects in a celebratory atmosphere where the College administration honored several individuals and students. University leaders were recognized for their supportive role for the College, along with College members, student union members, university student union representatives, athletes, exemplary students, innovators, and participants in Hackathon and marathon competitions (ROV), as well as the students who organized the first scientific day.
