Benha National University participated with student projects in the International Conference on Climate and Environment – Third Edition 2025

Under the auspices of the Prime Minister's Office and the Arab League, Benha National University, led by Prof. Tamer Samir, President of the University, participated in the activities of the International Conference on Climate and Environment - Third Edition 2025, which commenced on Wednesday, June 4, at the Nile University, in collaboration with the initiative "Engineers for Sustainable Egypt," chaired by Eng. Mohamed Kamel, the executive president of the conference, coinciding with the celebration of "World Environment Day."

The conference witnessed remarkable participation from students of the College of Engineering at Benha National University, through the accompanying exhibition, where students presented a number of innovative projects that align with sustainable development goals, embodying the university's commitment to supporting scientific research and linking it to contemporary environmental issues.

Prof. Tamer Samir affirmed that the university's participation in this international event reflects its deep belief in the role of youth in addressing the challenges of climate change, praising the practical and innovative ideas presented by the engineering students that contribute to achieving Egypt's vision for sustainable development 2050 and addressing environmental issues through modern scientific methods.

He indicated that the university continuously seeks to integrate sustainability and environmental concepts into educational and research programs, encouraging students to present realistic and sustainable solutions that contribute to community service and development.

The participation of the engineering students was strong and distinguished, featuring several projects that focused on waste recycling, using solar energy to operate smart systems, water consumption rationalization techniques, and finding technological solutions to reduce environmental pollution.

These projects garnered significant attention from participants and experts within the exhibition and received wide acclaim from representatives of local and international entities concerned with climate and environmental issues.
