President of Benha National University: College of Medicine Officially Joined the World Federation for Medical Education

Prof. Tamer Samir, President of Benha National University, announced the official inclusion of the university’s College of Medicine in the World Directory of Medical Schools (WDMS). He emphasized that this milestone represents a qualitative leap in the university’s medical education journey, reflecting the College’s commitment to adopting the highest global quality standards and enhancing the competitiveness of its graduates at local, regional, and international levels.

Prof. Tamer Samir stated that this achievement culminates the College’s strategy focused on:

  1. Revamping medical curricula.
  2. Adopting innovative teaching methods leveraging cutting-edge simulation and virtual reality technologies.
  3. Upgrading clinical laboratory infrastructure.
  4. Training College members in interactive education standards, aligned with the Supreme Council of Universities’recommendations for quality assurance and international accreditation.

He highlighted the university’s distinguished international partnerships with leading global institutions, including Nanjing University and Wuhan University in China, as well as Keele University in England. These collaborations have enabled joint student exchange programs and research initiatives, fostering students’ global competencies and preparing them for the international job market.

The president added that the College’s inclusion in the WDMS unlocks vast opportunities for graduates:

  • International recognition of degrees, enabling employment and postgraduate studies in major countries like the United StatesEngland, and Germany.
  • Attracting international students and boosting the university’s global ranking.

Benha National University continues its proactive community role by organizing free medical campaigns in villages across Kalyobiya Governorate, in collaboration with the Egyptian Ministry of Health. Concurrently, the university prioritizes innovation and scientific research, solidifying its position as a leading academic and medical beacon in Egypt, the Arab region, and globally.
