Benha National University Board of Trustees Mourned the Eminent Scholar Prof. Ahmed Omar Hashem

The Board of Trustees of Benha National University, chaired by Prof. Gamal El-Sayed, announced with profound sorrow the passing of the distinguished scholar Prof. Ahmed Omar Hashem, member of Al-Azhar’s Senior Scholars Council and a trustee of Benha National University. He passed away today after a lifetime dedicated to knowledge, service to faith, and national contributions.

The Board emphasized that the late scholar was a towering figure in religious and academic circles, embodying Al-Azhar’s mission of moderation, tolerance, and balance. His scholarly and intellectual contributions enriched religious, intellectual, and academic discourse.
