Benha National University Board of Trustees Approved Establishment of 3 New Colleges

Prof. Gamal El-Saeed: "Growing Demand for the University Confirms Its Leadership and Society’s Trust in Academic Programs"

The Board of Trustees of Benha National University held a meeting chaired by Prof. Gamal El-Saeed, Chairman of the Board, and attended by:

  • Ayman Attia, Governor of Kalyobiya,
  • Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University,
  • Soheir Shaarawy, Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees,
  • Maher Mesbah, Secretary of the Council of National Universities,
  • Tamer Samir, President of Benha National University,
    and other board members.

Decrees and Highlights:

  1. Tribute to Prof. Ahmed Omar Hashem:
    • The Board observed a moment of silence in honor of the late  Ahmed Omar Hashem, member of Al-Azhar’s Senior Scholars Council, former President of Al-Azhar University, and Board of Trustees member.
    • Recognized his contributions to the university’s academic journey. A commemorative shield was awarded to his family, received by  Gamal Sosa, former University President.
  2. Acknowledgments:
    • Extended gratitude to  Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, for his recent visit and praise of the university as a model for Egyptian national universities.
    • Thanked  Ayman Attiaand Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy for their continuous support to the university’s activities.
  3. New Appointments and Congratulations:
    • Congratulated  Mahmoud Muslim, Board member, on his reappointment to the Senate for a second term.
    • Praised  Ayman Bayoumifor his appointment as Secretary-General of the university.
  4. Academic Expansion:
    • Approved the establishment of three new colleges: NursingMedia and Communication, and Languages and Translation, aligning with the university’s mission to diversify educational opportunities.
    • Endorsed participation in the 18th Gulf Education and Training Exhibition(Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, October 22–23, 2025).
  5. Strategic Goals:
    • Gamal El-Saeedemphasized the university’s commitment to global education standards, digital transformation, and sustainable development. Highlighted a 30% acceptance rate (3,500 students admitted out of 13,800 applicants) as proof of institutional trust.
    • Preparing for accreditation by the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation(NAQAAE) after the first graduation cohort in 2025.
  6. Governor’s Remarks:
    • Ayman Attiapraised the university’s geographic advantage and role in aligning higher education with national sustainable development plans.
