Benha National University Signs Cooperation Agreement with Children’s Cancer Hospital 57357

As part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen community partnerships and collaborate with leading national institutions, Benha National University signed a cooperation agreement with Children’s Cancer Hospital 57357 to support joint initiatives in practical training, scientific research, and community engagement.

The agreement was signed by Dr. Mahmoud Shakal, Vice President of the University for Employment, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship, and Dr. Moataz El-Zamiti, Medical Director and Deputy General Manager of the hospital. The signing ceremony was attended by Dr. Ashraf El-Meshad, Director of the Medicine Programs; Dr. Heba El-Sabaa, Director of the Dentistry Programs; and Dr. Asmaa El-Bandrawy, Director of the Physical Therapy Programs.

Commenting on the partnership, Dr. Tamer Samir, President of Benha National University, emphasized the University’s commitment to developing an integrated educational model that combines academic excellence with a strong sense of social responsibility. He noted that collaboration with a distinguished medical institution such as Children’s Cancer Hospital 57357 represents a valuable addition to the University’s medical education ecosystem. The agreement, he explained, reflects the University’s strategic orientation toward engaging with leading national institutions in order to prepare graduates who possess strong academic foundations, practical experience, and a deep sense of community responsibility.

For his part, Dr. Mahmoud Shakal explained that the agreement supports the University’s vision of aligning educational outcomes with labor market needs by providing students with meaningful training opportunities within a specialized medical environment. He added that the partnership will create new opportunities for students to participate in applied research projects and volunteer activities that contribute to developing their professional competencies and encourage a culture of innovation and collaborative work.

The cooperation framework aims to expand collaboration in clinical training, applied research, and community outreach, particularly by offering field training opportunities for students from medical and scientific faculties within the hospital’s professional healthcare environment.

The agreement also includes the organization of health awareness campaigns, joint volunteer initiatives, specialized workshops, and applied research projects that contribute to advancing healthcare services and promoting innovation in medical and scientific fields. In addition, the partnership will facilitate student visits to the hospital aimed at providing psychological and moral support to young patients, while fostering students’ sense of social responsibility and reinforcing the University’s role in community development.
