Under the patronage of Dr. Tamer Samir, President of Benha National University, the Faculty of Computer Science organized the second season of GDG On Campus – BNU, reflecting the growing momentum of the University’s student technology community and students’ increasing engagement with the skills required in the evolving digital economy.
In his remarks, Dr. Tamer Samir highlighted the University’s commitment to supporting initiatives that contribute to students’ holistic development by encouraging specialized student communities that nurture both technical and leadership skills. He emphasized that empowering students with future-oriented competencies particularly in areas such as technology and artificial intelligence remains a central priority in preparing graduates for the rapidly changing digital landscape.

A key highlight of the event was the presentation of the community’s experience in utilizing artificial intelligence technologies to develop a dedicated digital platform for managing their activities. The platform enables content management, track organization, and communication with members, and has successfully attracted more than 800 student participants, demonstrating students’ ability to translate theoretical knowledge into practical digital solutions that serve their academic community.
The GDG organizing team played a central role in coordinating and delivering the event, demonstrating strong organizational skills and a collaborative spirit among its members. The event concluded with an open discussion session between the organizing team and students, focusing on technical learning paths and future plans for the community.
