Benha National University organized its Ramadan Chess Championship 2026, bringing together 32 students from across its faculties in a competition that highlighted strategic thinking, intellectual discipline, and positive student engagement during the holy month of Ramadan.
The championship featured a highly competitive atmosphere and strong performances throughout its different stages, beginning with the preliminary round, followed by the Round of 16, quarterfinals, semifinals, and the final match, which determined the top three winners.

Prof. Tamer Samir, President of Benha National University, emphasized the University’s strong commitment to student activities as an integral part of the educational experience and student development. He added that chess remains one of the most effective activities for cultivating logical reasoning, concentration, and strategic planning skills among students.
