Benha National University Students Participate in the 50th Training Workshop at the Egyptian Police Academy

Under the patronage of Dr. Tamer Samir, President of Benha National University, and as part of the University’s commitment to strengthening student awareness and fostering national responsibility, a distinguished student delegation participated in the 50th training workshop organized by the Egyptian Police Academy for university students under the title: “The Role of Government Institutions in Addressing Attempts to Undermine the State,” held at the Police Research Center.

Dr. Tamer Samir stated that the University’s participation reflects its commitment to promoting educational and awareness-based activities that help students better understand national security challenges, while also developing their analytical and intellectual skills to engage effectively with contemporary issues. He added that such initiatives form part of the University’s strategy to shape well-rounded students who combine academic excellence with active participation in student activities.

He further noted that this participation aligns with the state’s efforts to strengthen cooperation between educational institutions and relevant national bodies, contributing to raising youth awareness and reinforcing the values of belonging and national responsibility.

Dr. Hussein El-Maghraby, Vice President for Academic Affairs, emphasized that such workshops provide an important platform for introducing students to the concept of comprehensive national security and for enhancing their critical and analytical thinking skills, helping prepare them to address intellectual and informational challenges.

The workshop focused on raising awareness of the risks of terrorism and the state’s efforts to combat it, while also addressing fourth-generation warfare, emerging cyber threats, the role of media in shaping public awareness, and the impact of misinformation on social and economic stability.

The event witnessed strong engagement from participating students, who had the opportunity to learn more about the role of state institutions in preserving security and stability, and to take part in meaningful discussions on the role of youth in supporting national development.
