Benha National University Strengthens Students’ Skills Through Creative Workshops in Media and Design

Benha National University organized a distinguished series of interactive workshops in the fields of media arts and advertising, as part of its ongoing commitment to developing students’ skills and preparing them for the labor market through the integration of academic study and practical application.

The event was held under the patronage and in the presence of Prof. Dr. Tamer Samir, President of the University, who affirmed in his remarks that the University is continuously committed to delivering a comprehensive educational experience that keeps pace with the latest developments in media and design. He noted that such workshops contribute to preparing graduates equipped with the creative and technical skills required to compete in both local and international labor markets, particularly amid the growing use of artificial intelligence technologies.

For her part, Prof. Dr. Ghada El-Mesalmy, Director of the Programs of the Faculty of Visual Arts and Design, explained that the organization of these workshops falls within the academic programs’ plan to enhance students’ capabilities and provide them with direct exposure to experts and specialists in the fields of design and media. 

The workshops were prepared and implemented under the supervision of Dr. Haidy Youssef Abu El-Gheit, Coordinator of the Media Arts and Advertising Program, whose efforts contributed to organizing a comprehensive event that reflects the University’s commitment to supporting creativity and innovation.

The event featured a number of specialized workshops delivered by a distinguished group of experts. These included A Designer’s Journey: From Visual Arts to the Labor Market in the Age of Artificial Intelligence,” which explored the evolving role of the designer in light of modern technologies, and “Where Arabic Calligraphy Meets Artificial Intelligence in Visual Identity Design,” which addressed ways of integrating artistic heritage with AI-powered design tools.

The program also included “Digital Media: From News Bulletins to Social Media Platforms,” which discussed the ongoing transformations in the media landscape, as well as “Where Motion Graphics Meets the Power of Artificial Intelligence,” which highlighted new horizons for creativity in visual content production through emerging technologies.

The workshops witnessed strong student engagement and offered participants valuable opportunities for hands-on practice and direct application, contributing to the development of their creative skills and strengthening their capacity for innovation.

This event comes within the framework of Benha National University’s strategy to prepare qualified graduates capable of keeping pace with the evolving demands of the labor market through advanced educational activities that combine theoretical knowledge with practical experience.
