Benha National University Organizes Seminar on the Role of Youth in Reinforcing National Stability

Benha National University organized a seminar on the role of youth in reinforcing national stability, under the patronage and in the presence of Dr. Tamer Samir, President of the University, and Dr. Mahmoud Shakal, Vice President for Employment, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship. The seminar featured a lecture delivered by Dr. Ahmed Karkit, Leadership Development and Self-Development Consultant, as part of the University’s commitment to raising students’ awareness of national issues and strengthening their sense of belonging and responsibility. The event witnessed strong attendance and notable engagement from students, who actively participated and raised thoughtful questions throughout the session.

Dr. Tamer Samir emphasized that the development of personal skills represents a fundamental pillar in keeping pace with rapid technological advancement. He noted that acquiring modern skills and maintaining a commitment to continuous learning have become essential elements of distinction and competitiveness in the labor market, a point that resonated strongly with students and generated considerable interaction.

The University President added that the current phase requires a strong focus on building well-rounded personalities that combine sound academic preparation with the ability to adapt to contemporary changes, thereby contributing to the preparation of qualified graduates capable of addressing challenges with competence and confidence. 

He further noted that safeguarding national identity and reinforcing the values of belonging and responsibility constitute a solid foundation for building an aware society capable of achieving sustainable development and meeting future demands.

Dr. Mahmoud Shakal affirmed that the role of the University extends beyond the provision of academic knowledge to include preparing qualified graduates equipped with the capacity for innovation and entrepreneurship in line with the evolving demands of the labor market. This was clearly reflected in students’ strong engagement with the topics related to employment opportunities and entrepreneurship.

During his lecture, Dr. Ahmed Karkit addressed the concept of national security and its various dimensions, emphasizing its close connection to individual awareness, behavior, and the role of citizens in supporting societal stability. The lecture also witnessed extensive interactive discussion with students.

He further highlighted the importance of self-development in shaping a personality capable of addressing challenges, noting that enhancing personal skills and strengthening self-confidence are essential to preparing an aware generation capable of shaping the future. 

The event concluded with an open dialogue session that reflected the students’ high level of awareness and interest, as they affirmed their keenness to benefit from such seminars in strengthening their national awareness and further developing their personal skills.
