Benha National University Launches Comprehensive Medical Outreach Initiative for Students at a Technological School in Obour

Under the patronage of Prof. Tamer Samir, President of Benha National University, and as part of its commitment to reinforcing its societal role and advancing community engagement, the University launched a comprehensive medical outreach initiative in the fields of Dentistry and Physical Therapy at a technological school affiliated with the Obour Educational Administration.

The initiative was led by Prof. Mahmoud Shakal, Vice President for Employment, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship, with the participation of a distinguished group of faculty members and students, reflecting the integration of academic learning and practical application in service of the wider community.

The outreach aimed to deliver high-quality medical services to students, including clinical examinations in Dentistry and Physical Therapy, preliminary screenings, and the identification of cases requiring further follow-up, alongside the provision of essential health guidance to promote oral health and proper physical posture.

The program also included an awareness session for students on correct sitting practices during study and daily activities, highlighting effective approaches to preventing spinal issues and back and neck pain, as well as offering practical guidance on maintaining proper posture, particularly when using electronic devices for extended periods.

In addition, a meeting was held to explore avenues for strengthening future collaboration, with a view to supporting the educational process and expanding the impact of the University’s expertise across various fields.
