As part of our support for the National Intellectual Property Strategy launched by the Prime Minister in 2022, we at Benha National University are moving steadily to strengthen the protection of intellectual property rights, recognizing the central role of the knowledge economy in advancing sustainable development.
We are committed to translating this national vision into tangible action by fostering innovation and aligning research outcomes with the needs of national industry, thereby maximizing the value added to the Egyptian economy. We also place great importance on expanding cooperation with the Egyptian Intellectual Property Authority to enable researchers and innovators to transform their ideas into practical, implementable projects.
In this context, the University has taken concrete steps to advance the objectives of the National Strategy, including the signing of a cooperation protocol with the Egyptian Intellectual Property Authority to strengthen governance of the intellectual property ecosystem within the University, create an environment conducive to innovation, and raise awareness among students and researchers of the importance of protecting their intellectual property rights. These efforts also aim to enhance the economic impact of research outputs in line with national development priorities and the needs of Egyptian industry.
