Benha National University signed a series of cooperation protocols and strategic partnership agreements to strengthen practical training opportunities for students of its Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and to further align academic preparation with labor market requirements. The agreements were concluded during the Faculty’s First Scientific Day as part of the University’s broader commitment to providing students with meaningful exposure to real-world professional environments.
The protocols were signed under the patronage of Prof. Tamer Samir, President of Benha National University, and Prof. Hussein El-Maghraby, Vice President for Academic Affairs, in the presence of Prof. Ayman Samir Farid, Director of Programs, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, along with representatives of the partner organizations.
The agreements encompass collaboration with veterinary clinics and animal feed manufacturing companies and are designed to expand field-based training opportunities, provide students with high-quality experiential learning, and strengthen professional cooperation between the Faculty and leading employers across the veterinary sector.
Prof. Tamer Samir emphasized that these agreements reflect the University’s strategic commitment to fostering a model of higher education that is closely connected to society and capable of building substantive partnerships with professional and productive institutions. He noted that practical training constitutes a fundamental pillar in preparing graduates equipped to compete effectively in an increasingly demanding labor market.
Prof. Hussein El-Maghraby stated that Benha National University is committed to enriching its academic programs through applied partnerships that enable students to learn directly from professional practice. He stressed that educational excellence can only be fully realized when theoretical knowledge is reinforced through rigorous and well-structured field training.
Prof. Ayman Samir Farid noted that the protocols represent an important step in the development of a modern Faculty of Veterinary Medicine founded on the integration of academic study and applied training. He explained that collaboration with partner institutions will expose students to a broad range of professional fields, including veterinary services, companion animal care, the pharmaceutical and animal feed industries, and animal and food production systems.
He added that the Faculty seeks, through these partnerships, to provide distinctive training opportunities, strengthen students’ professional competencies, and enhance their readiness to meet labor market expectations, thereby contributing to the quality of its graduates and reinforcing the Faculty’s standing within the professional community.
Representatives of the partner organizations reaffirmed their commitment to supporting the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Benha National University by providing practical training opportunities and sharing professional expertise. They noted that this collaboration will enhance students’ career readiness and contribute to the continued development of veterinary and production services within the wider community.
