Benha National University Expands International Academic Cooperation Through New Partnership in Civilization Studies

Benha National University has signed a memorandum of understanding with the “Civilizational Rights” Institute as part of its broader strategy to strengthen international academic cooperation and advance interdisciplinary research in emerging civilization studies.

Signed by Prof. Tamer Samir, President of the University, and Prof. Ahmed Yehia Rashed, President of the Institute, the agreement establishes a collaborative framework for academic, research, and applied initiatives in the fields of Civilizational Rights and Civilizology, with a focus on innovation, scientific research, and international knowledge exchange.

Prof. Tamer Samir described the partnership as a significant step in strengthening the University’s academic and research landscape, emphasizing Benha National University’s commitment to engaging with emerging intellectual disciplines and global academic perspectives that contribute to building a more sustainable and knowledge-driven future.

He further noted that the University considers cultural identity and human development central to sustainable progress, reflecting its broader mission to connect education and scientific research with societal priorities while reinforcing the role of universities in shaping regional and international dialogue. 

The signing ceremony was attended by Prof. Mahmoud Saqr, University Advisor for Research and Innovation and Director of the Center for Research, Development and Innovation in Convergent Science and Emerging Technologies (CoSET); Prof. Ghada El-Mesallamy, Director of Programs, Faculty of Visual Arts and Design; and Prof. Haidy Youssef, Media Arts and Advertising Program Coordinator.

Prof. Ahmed Yehia Rashed praised the collaboration, noting that Benha National University’s academic vision and institutional capabilities position it as a strong regional platform for interdisciplinary civilization studies and their contemporary applications.

He added that the memorandum seeks to establish an integrated academic environment that promotes awareness of Civilizational Rights, supports the preservation of cultural identity, and connects heritage with contemporary knowledge, while also strengthening international academic and cultural cooperation.

The partnership will also support the integration of Civilizational Rights and Civilizology into academic curricula, research initiatives, and applied projects, alongside the organization of joint conferences, workshops, and specialized training programs that further reinforce the University’s position as a center for innovation-driven research and international academic collaboration.
