Benha National University Expands Students’ Exposure to Egypt’s Financial Sector Through Academic Visit to the Financial Regulatory Authority

Benha National University organized an academic visit for students of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration to the Financial Regulatory Authority as part of the University’s ongoing efforts to strengthen experiential learning and expand students’ exposure to professional financial and regulatory environments.

The visit, supervised by Prof. Doaa Akl, provided students with practical insight into Egypt’s non-banking financial sector and the regulatory frameworks shaping modern financial services and financial markets.

Students attended specialized sessions introducing the Authority’s role in regulating and supervising non-banking financial activities, in addition to its contribution to financial stability, investor protection, economic development, and investment growth.

Students also explored several of the major sectors overseen by the Authority, including capital markets, insurance, consumer finance, mortgage finance, financial leasing, factoring, microfinance, and financing solutions for small and medium enterprises.

The visit further included discussions with specialists from the Authority on recent developments within the non-banking financial sector, the growing role of financial inclusion in supporting the national economy, and the evolving professional skills and competencies required across today’s financial services industry.

The initiative reflects Benha National University’s broader educational approach to integrating academic learning with real-world professional exposure while equipping students with the analytical, technical, and professional capabilities needed to navigate rapidly evolving financial and economic sectors.
