Benha National University Receives Eid Al-Adha Greetings from Delegation of the Coptic Orthodox Church

Benha National University welcomed a delegation from the Coptic Orthodox Church who visited the University to extend Eid Al-Adha greetings, in a gesture reflecting the deeply rooted values of national unity, coexistence, and social solidarity that continue to define Egyptian society. 

The delegation included Father Raphael Anba Bishoy, Papal Vicar of Obour and New Obour City, alongside Father Youssef Sidhom Attia and Father Moussa William of Saint Paul the Apostle Church in Obour City.

Prof. Tamer Samir, President of Benha National University, hosted the delegation in the presence of the University’s Directors of Programs and Secretary-General during a meeting marked by warmth, mutual respect, and a shared spirit of national belonging.

Prof. Tamer Samir expressed his appreciation for the visit, describing it as a reflection of the enduring bonds that unite Egyptians across all communities and reaffirming Egypt’s longstanding model of social cohesion and national solidarity.

He further noted that religious and national occasions continue to serve as important moments for reinforcing the values of tolerance, mutual respect, and shared citizenship, while underscoring the role of universities in shaping socially conscious generations capable of contributing meaningfully to national development and the building of the New Republic.

 He added that the unity of Egyptians has always remained a cornerstone of the country’s strength and stability, emphasizing that the spirit of solidarity between Muslims and Christians continues to embody the resilience of Egyptian society and its ability to confront challenges through unity and mutual understanding.

Father Raphael Anba Bishoy conveyed his sincere congratulations to the University’s leadership and academic community on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha and commended Benha National University’s continued academic and institutional advancement, affirming that national unity and social harmony will always remain essential foundations for Egypt’s progress, stability, and prosperity.
