Benha National University has wrapped up its “Career Camp” program, a comprehensive career development initiative delivered in preparation for the University’s first Employment Fair, scheduled to take place later this month.
The program reflects the University’s commitment to strengthening the connection between academic learning and professional practice while ensuring graduates are equipped with the skills, experiences, and professional awareness needed to navigate an increasingly competitive labor market.
Prof. Tamer Samir, President of Benha National University, underscored the University's commitment to developing graduates who combine academic excellence with practical capability, adaptability, and a strong capacity for innovation. He noted that the pace of global economic and technological change requires universities to move beyond traditional educational models and adopt approaches that place greater emphasis on skills development, entrepreneurship, and lifelong learning.
He added that Benha National University continues to invest in an integrated learning ecosystem that empowers students to compete effectively in regional and international markets while contributing to sustainable development priorities and the objectives of Egypt Vision 2030.
Prof. Mahmoud Shakal, Vice President for Employment, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, highlighted that the program was designed to help students navigate the transition from university to professional life by providing practical exposure to workplace expectations and the competencies increasingly valued across today's employment sectors.
Tailored for final-year students who will form Benha National University’s first graduating cohort, the program featured a series of applied workshops covering career planning, professional branding through LinkedIn, strategic job searching, CV and résumé development, and interview performance techniques.
The program attracted strong student participation and provided a practical platform for developing professional competencies, expanding industry awareness, and building confidence ahead of graduation. It also created opportunities for networking, peer engagement, and direct insight into current recruitment practices and labor market trends.
The closing session featured reflections from participating students, who highlighted the practical impact of the program on their professional development and its role in strengthening their preparedness for the next stage of their careers.
