Benha National University and Benha University Sign Agreement to Establish University Hospital in Obour City

Benha National University and Benha University have signed an agreement to establish a university hospital in Obour City, marking an important step toward expanding clinical training opportunities and strengthening healthcare services in the region.
The agreement was signed by Prof. Gamal El Saeed, Chair of Benha National University’s Board of Trustees, and Prof. Nasser El Gizawy, President of Benha University, on the sidelines of a meeting of Benha National University’s Board of Trustees. The signing ceremony was attended by Prof. Eng. Hossam Abdel Fattah, Governor of Qalyubia; Prof. Soheir Shaarawy, Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees; Prof. Tamer Samir, President of Benha National University; and members of the Board.
Prof. Gamal El Saeed stated that the project reflects Benha National University’s commitment to strengthening its contribution to community development and supporting the healthcare sector.
He noted that the new university hospital will serve as an integrated model that combines medical education, scientific research, and healthcare delivery. 
Prof. El Saeed added that the hospital will help address the healthcare needs of residents of Obour City and neighboring communities while providing advanced clinical training opportunities for students enrolled in medical programs.
The project will also support the preparation of highly qualified healthcare professionals equipped to meet the evolving needs of the sector and contribute to sustainable development objectives.
Prof. Nasser El Gizawy emphasized that the establishment of the university hospital represents a significant addition to both the healthcare and educational sectors within Qalyubia Governorate.
Prof. El Gizawy noted that Benha University will contribute its expertise and capabilities to support the project, further strengthening cooperation between the two institutions in medical education, healthcare, and community service.
He further explained that the hospital will provide a modern educational and training environment for students of medicine, nursing, and health sciences, while delivering specialized healthcare services in accordance with recognized professional standards. He added that the project aligns with national efforts to advance the healthcare sector and enhance the quality of services provided to citizens.
