Benha National University and Misr El Kheir Foundation Sign Cooperation Agreement to Advance Volunteerism and Student Development

Benha National University and Misr El Kheir Foundation have signed a cooperation agreement aimed at promoting a culture of volunteerism among young people and expanding opportunities for students to engage in community and development initiatives. The agreement also seeks to equip students with the knowledge and skills required to lead and implement community based activities, supporting both institutions' shared commitment to sustainable development and community engagement.

Prof. Tamer Samir, President of Benha National University, described the agreement as an important step toward embedding volunteerism as a core element of the student experience. He noted that the partnership will help prepare a new generation of young leaders equipped with the values, skills, and sense of responsibility needed to make meaningful contributions to society.

He further emphasized the University's commitment to building strategic partnerships with leading development organizations in support of sustainable development goals and community service, adding that fostering students' personal growth, leadership capabilities, and civic engagement remains a central priority for the University.

Eng. Sherif Azzouz, Director of the Volunteer Department at Misr El Kheir Foundation, stated that the Foundation is committed to expanding volunteer participation across Egypt by creating opportunities for young people to engage in development initiatives that improve quality of life and support vulnerable communities. He also expressed the Foundation's appreciation for its collaboration with Benha National University, recognizing the University as a leading academic institution that places community engagement at the heart of its mission.

Benha National University and Misr El Kheir Foundation will jointly implement a range of volunteer and community development programs for students. The partnership also includes awareness campaigns across the University's faculties addressing key community issues, with the aim of strengthening students' leadership and personal development while encouraging active participation in community service.

The signing ceremony was attended by Prof. Mahmoud Abdel Sabour, Supervisor of the Medical Sector; Prof. Ashraf El Mashad, Director of Programs, Faculty of Medicine; Prof. Ayman Samir, Director of Programs, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine; journalist and broadcaster Ragy Amer, Advisor to the President for Media; along with representatives of Misr El Kheir Foundation, including Eng. Sherif Azzouz, Director of the Volunteer Department, and Youssef Wagdy, Volunteer Programs Officer.
