Benha National University and Benha University Form Joint Committee to Deliver New University Hospital Project

Benha National University has established a joint executive committee with Benha University to oversee the delivery of the new University Hospital in El Obour, following a decision issued by Prof. Gamal El-Saeed, Chair of Benha National University's Board of Trustees.

The Committee has been tasked with managing all phases of the project, including contractual procedures, regulatory approvals, construction, and preparations leading to the hospital's operational launch.

The Committee is chaired by Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy, Member of the Board of Trustees and President of Benha University, with Prof. Tamer Samir, Member of the Board of Trustees and President of Benha National University, serving as Vice Chair.

Its membership also includes Prof. Hussein El-Maghraby, Vice President for Academic Affairs; Prof. Mohamed Saeed, Engineering Advisor; Ms. Sherine Shouky, Secretary-General of Benha University; while Mr. Ayman Bayoumi, Secretary-General of Benha National University, serves as Secretary to the Committee.

Prof. Gamal El-Saeed noted that establishing the Committee marks the start of the project's implementation phase and provides a structured framework for overseeing every stage of delivery. He added that the Committee will coordinate project execution, monitor progress, and ensure completion in line with the approved timeline while maintaining the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

He further noted that the new University Hospital represents one of Benha National University's strategic development projects and reflects the University's long-term vision of strengthening its contribution to healthcare, medical education, and scientific research. Once completed, the hospital will deliver advanced healthcare services while providing an integrated clinical education and training environment for medical students and expanding access to specialized healthcare services for residents of El Obour City and the surrounding communities.
