Benha National University's President, Prof. Tamer Samir, opened "30 June: A People's Revolution, A Nation's Resolve," an exhibition organized by the Faculty of Visual Arts and Design in collaboration with the Student Activities Office as part of the University's commemoration of the anniversary of the 30 June Revolution, in the presence of Prof. Hussein El-Maghraby, Vice President for Academic Affairs; Prof. Khaled Eissa, Advisor to the President for Student Activities; and Prof. Ghada El-Mosallamy, Director of Programs, Faculty of Visual Arts and Design.
Prof. Tamer Samir and the accompanying delegation toured a selection of artworks created by first-year students from the Faculty of Visual Arts and Design. Through diverse artistic perspectives, the exhibition explored themes of national identity, belonging, and civic awareness while reflecting the significance of the 30 June Revolution and the enduring values it represents.
Prof. Tamer Samir noted that Benha National University places strong emphasis on organizing national and cultural initiatives that deepen students' understanding of Egypt's history and strengthen the values of citizenship and national belonging. He added that the 30 June Revolution represents a defining moment in the nation's modern history, reflecting the will of the Egyptian people and the role of state institutions, led by the Armed Forces, in safeguarding the country's stability. He emphasized the importance of introducing younger generations to this pivotal chapter through cultural and artistic initiatives that combine creative expression with historical awareness.
Prof. Hussein El-Maghraby noted that the University is committed to integrating student activities into the educational experience as an essential component of students' intellectual, creative, and personal development. He added that the exhibition demonstrates students' ability to engage with national themes through artistic expression while reflecting the University's broader mission of preparing graduates distinguished not only by academic excellence, but also by awareness, responsibility, and a strong sense of national identity.
Attendees commended the artistic quality of the exhibited works, highlighting the creativity of the Faculty's students and the exhibition's thoughtful expression of national values. The event also reflected the successful collaboration between the Faculty of Visual Arts and Design and the Student Activities Office in supporting student talent and encouraging meaningful participation in campus life.
