Prof. Gamal El-Saeed, Chair of Benha National University's Board of Trustees, chaired the Committee reviewing the performance of the University's academic and administrative leaders, in the presence of Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, and Prof. Soheir El-Shaarawy, Vice Chair of Benha National University's Board of Trustees.
Prof. Gamal El-Saeed affirmed that the Committee's work reflects the Board of Trustees' commitment to strengthening the principles of institutional governance and transparency through the implementation of an objective evaluation framework based on clearly defined criteria for assessing competence, achievement, and leadership capability. He noted that this approach supports the University's commitment to continuous improvement while advancing its vision and institutional mission.
He explained that the Committee conducted evaluation interviews with academic and administrative leaders to review their performance over the previous period, assess progress toward institutional objectives, evaluate the effectiveness of their leadership, and examine their contributions to enhancing institutional performance and improving the quality of services provided to students and faculty members. He noted that the evaluation process is designed to strengthen institutional effectiveness across the University.
Prof. Gamal El-Saeed emphasized that capable leadership remains one of the most important foundations of institutional success. He noted that Benha National University is committed to appointing and supporting leaders who possess the vision to drive institutional development, encourage innovation, and provide effective leadership that advances the University's strategic goals.
He further noted that, in order to ensure the continued stability and effective operation of the University's academic and administrative functions, the Committee will issue the necessary recommendations regarding the renewal of appointments and the appointment of academic and administrative leaders for the 2026/2027 Academic Year, based on the outcomes of its review. These recommendations will be submitted to Benha National University's Board of Trustees for approval at its next meeting.
