Benha National University's Board of Trustees has approved a series of leadership appointments and reappointments for the 2026–2027 academic year, reaffirming the University's commitment to leadership continuity and institutional excellence.
The decisions, issued by Prof. Gamal El-Saeed, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, include the renewal of the appointment of Prof. Tamer Samir Mahmoud, Professor at the Faculty of Engineering at Shoubra, Benha University, as President of Benha National University for a one-year term, effective from 1 August 2026 through 31 July 2027.
The Board also renewed the appointment of Prof. Hussein Mahmoud El-Maghraby, Emeritus Professor at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Benha University, as Vice President for Academic Affairs for the same term.
In addition, Prof. Mahmoud Mohamed Saqr, Emeritus Research Professor at the National Research Centre, was appointed Vice President for Employment, Alumni, and Innovation. He will also serve as Director of the University's Center for Research, Development and Innovation in Converging Sciences and Emerging Technologies (CoSET) for the period from 1 August 2026 to 31 July 2027.
The Board further appointed Prof. Hazem Mohamed Eliwa, Professor at the Faculty of Agriculture at Moshtohor, Academic Director of Benha University's Obour Campus, and Acting Dean of the Benha–Wuhan Graduate School, as Supervisor of the International Relations Sector for two days per week during the same term.
Prof. Gamal El-Saeed also expressed his sincere appreciation to Prof. Karim Mohamed El-Dash, Emeritus Professor at the Faculty of Engineering at Shoubra, Benha University, former Vice President for International Relations, and Prof. Mahmoud Abdelsalam Shakal, Emeritus Professor at the Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine, Tanta University, former Vice President for Employment, Alumni, and Innovation, in recognition of their distinguished contributions to advancing education, scientific research, and student life at Benha National University.
