Benha National University continues to expand its partnerships with specialized organizations in workforce development, professional training, and employment, as part of its commitment to strengthening students’ and graduates’ readiness for the labor market, developing their professional and personal skills, and aligning educational outcomes with evolving workforce needs. These efforts support the preparation of young professionals equipped to compete effectively and build successful career pathways.
Prof. Tamer Samir, President of Benha National University, signed a cooperation agreement with Wadhwani Foundation – Egypt to strengthen students’ and graduates’ employability and enhance their professional and personal skills in line with current and emerging labor market requirements.
The signing was attended by Prof. Mahmoud Sakr, Vice President for Employment, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Prof. Mahmoud El Refay, Director of Programs, Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Eman Abdel Ghaffar, Director of Programs, Faculty of Computer Science; Prof. Heba El Sebaey, Director of Programs, Faculty of Dentistry, and Prof. Asmaa El Bendary, Director of Programs, Faculty of Physical Therapy.
The agreement forms part of Benha National University’s efforts to establish effective partnerships with organizations specializing in skills development and employment, supporting students and graduates in making a successful transition from academic study to the labor market and strengthening their competitiveness across different sectors.
The cooperation will establish a framework for joint work in workforce readiness and employability, including training and development programs designed to equip students and graduates with the professional and personal skills required by today’s labor market. It will also explore opportunities to connect these programs with training and employment opportunities offered by institutions and companies.
The partnership will further explore the integration of workforce readiness and employability skills into students’ educational pathways, particularly for final-year students and graduates, helping improve their access to suitable employment opportunities and supporting them in building successful career pathways.
Cooperation will also extend to faculty and academic staff development through professional training, capacity-building, and program accreditation initiatives, alongside the design and delivery of joint training programs. These efforts aim to support the development of an integrated university-wide framework for professional readiness and employment.
Prof. Tamer Samir emphasized that the partnership represents an important step in the University’s efforts to strengthen the connection between education and labor market needs, enhance graduates’ employability, and equip students with the skills and knowledge needed to keep pace with the rapidly evolving workplace. He also highlighted the importance of working with specialized organizations to develop students’ and graduates’ capabilities and prepare them for the practical demands of the labor market.
The cooperation agreement is being implemented as a free-of-charge initiative aimed at creating social impact by supporting and developing young talent and expanding their access to employment opportunities.
