Benha National University has concluded the 56th Military Education Course for male students and the 11th National Education Course for female students, held from 12 to 24 September, with 51 male students participating in the Military Education Course and 147 female students in the National Education Course from across the University’s faculties. The courses were held under the patronage of Prof. Tamer Samir, President of Benha National University, and Prof. Hussein El Maghraby, Vice President for Academic Affairs, in cooperation with the Popular and Military Defence Forces.
The two courses featured a structured programme combining educational sessions with practical training. The programme focused on developing discipline, commitment, endurance and teamwork, while increasing students’ awareness of national issues and reinforcing the values of loyalty, belonging and responsibility.
The programme covered a range of topics relating to national security and national identity, the dangers of rumours and fourth generation warfare, and the role of young people in protecting the country’s capabilities and resources. This was complemented by practical training aimed at developing physical fitness, self reliance, compliance with instructions, quick response and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
The practical training also gave students the opportunity to apply the knowledge and principles addressed during the educational sessions through a range of activities and exercises. These activities contributed to developing their communication, cooperation and leadership skills, while strengthening their ability to take responsibility and rely on themselves. The combination of educational content and practical training reflects the integrated nature of military and national education, which seeks to develop students’ awareness, discipline and sense of responsibility.
The 56th Military Education Course was supervised by Brigadier General Nasser Mostafa Qersh, while the 11th National Education Course was supervised by Colonel Staff Mohamed Reda Abdel-Hafez. Both courses were delivered in accordance with a training and educational programme covering the various stages of the two courses.
